Iceland shoppers are leaving rave reviews over a new chicken dish said to be the “nicest they’ve ever had”. The supermarket, which has branches in Leek, Trent Vale, Longton, Tunstall, Cheadle and Hanley, is known for its popular products, with shoppers able to purchase everything from baked goods to pizza and desserts.
Like other major retailers, Iceland regularly updates its offering, and has exclusive ranges with popular chains such as Greggs, Slimming World, and TGI Friday’s. Last month Iceland added another exclusive line to its products, by joining forces with the Sidemen to create a new line of frozen food and sauces with the Youtubers.
A number of the products have gone down well, and one in particular has customers raving about it. The Sides Crispy Coated Boneless Chicken Box is 550g of breaded chicken breast chunks and breaded chicken breast strips, with a “classic” BBQ sauce.
The “new and exclusive” dish is priced at £5, and has an average rating of 4.5 out of a possible five stars on the Iceland website. Leaving a top review, one shopper said: “I don’t normally write reviews but this has to be one of the best chicken boxes I’ve ever tried.”
“Honestly I highly recommend giving this a try. Cooks quickly in the air fryer too.” A second said: “My son absolutely loves this range. He says it’s the nicest chicken he’s had.”
A third said: “So succulent and juicy. No grease or oil etc. Tastes so fresh and the BBQ dip is full of flavour. Big box portion, so can easily do more than one meal. A luxurious fast food meal.” And a fourth added: “The best chicken ever. So, so good”.
