She said: “I gave them all my details, then when I woke they’d taken £250 from my bank.”

Five more attempts followed but Kelly cancelled cards and got the cash back.

The mum of three was diagnosed with parasomnia in 2018, due to obstructive sleep apnea partially waking her brain.

She has spent £3,000 sleep-shopping for the likes of a basketball court, and non-refundable food such as Haribos.

Events firm boss Kelly, 42, of Basildon, Essex, said: “It’s upsetting going to bed thinking ‘I don’t know what the night is going to lead to’.

“Everyone thinks it’s funny but it’s not, some bits are, but some bits are quite serious.

“But in the grand scheme I just focus on my children.

“It’s just something that happens that I have to deal with.”
