“I know Indian people don’t like to hear this but the reason Indian women have such beautiful and thick hair like this is not just genetics”, she told viewers.

She compared hair care to nurturing a flower, stating proper care is essential for growth regardless of natural qualities.

The first essential tip focused on “champi,” a traditional scalp massage technique performed before applying hair oils.

For the second tip, Melody revealed three crucial oils: castor oil for thickness, amla oil for shine and length, and coconut oil for preventing breakage.

These oils are the top-selling hair care ingredients in Indian hair oil products, she noted.

The third tip focuses on natural cleaning methods, with Melody recommending sidr powder to cleanse the scalp whilst preserving healthy oils.

“Three, length starts from a clean scalp. Sidr powder cleans your scalp without removing the healthy oils,” she said.

“Neem powder kills bacteria and adds length. You can mix the two with rose water and apply it as a hair mask.”

For the fourth tip, Melody advised washing hair with cold water and using a filtered shower head for hard water.

Melody also stressed that diet plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy hair.

“Your diet is more important than your hair care,” she stated, recommending the consumption of at least three pieces of fruit daily.

The antioxidants in the fruit may help stimulate hair follicles and enhance collagen production, accelerating hair growth.
