Tupperware, the company that occupied a prized position for food storage in homes for decades, filed for bankruptcy after years of declining profits. The US-based company filed for bankruptcy protection, listing assets of between $500mn and $1bn and liabilities of between $1bn and $10bn, according to its court filing.
