Collaborate with your friends to make the perfect playlist for any event.
Problem Solved
2024 is coming to an end, which means some of your favorite online platforms have begun generating recaps and highlights of some of your activity during the past year.
Spotify released its annual Spotify Wrapped on Wednesday, a recap of music listeners’ habits over the year. Spotify’s rival, Apple Music, released a similar feature, Apple Music Replay, on Tuesday.
Here’s what you need to know about this year’s Apple Music Replay
How to see Apple Music Replay
This year, iPhone users with iOS 18.1 or later can access the Replay experience directly from the music app via the Home, New and Search tabs. Others will still need to go to replay.music.apple.com on either mobile or desktop.
There, you will find your 2024 Wrapped list recapping your most-listened-to artists, a playlist of your top songs, and a playlist of your music evolution in 2024. A slideshow will appear: Click play and view your report.
When was Apple Music Replay released?
Apple Music Replay, the platform’s rival to Spotify Wrapped, dropped Tuesday, Dec. 3.
What’s new in Apply Music Replay 2024?
This year, the streaming giant also launched a Replay exclusively for artists, so music-makers can have access to insights like which of their songs was discovered most via Shazam and which city houses most of their listeners.
Aside from the Replay for Artists feature, this year’s reports also include an expanded “Top Listeners” list; users previously could only see if they were in the top 100 listeners for a certain musical act. This year includes Top 500 or Top 1000 lists for both artists and genres.
Apple Music also added “streaks,” a feature that reveals the longest number of consecutive days a user has played from Apple Music. Streaks also extend to artists if a user had an artist as their No. 1 for multiple months in a row.
Date of first play, another feature offered this year, will show users when they first discovered the song, artist or album that defined their year in listening.
