Destiny 2 The Final Shape concludes the Light and Darkness saga that began ten years ago with the first Destiny game.
As such, it’s no surprise that fan expectations of the Final Shape have been sky-high, particularly of its campaign. But what is The Final Shape campaign length?
Destiny 2 The Final Shape campaign length explained
Destiny 2 The Final Shape campaign can take about 7-10 hours to beat, depending on what difficulty you choose to play.
Naturally, the legendary difficulty is more challenging, and some boss encounters could take a little longer to clear while others can take relatively less time.Â
The Final Shape campaign difficulty scales according to your fireteam, so enemies will have less health when you play solo compared to when you have a fireteam of three or two members.Â
There are seven main missions in Destiny 2 The Final Shape campaign, plus two extra ones where you clear all three Lost Sectors and the new Liminality Strike.Â
It’s worth pointing out that The Final Shape campaign is significantly meatier than last year’s Lightfall campaign. It’s not just about the overall length but how substantial every mission feels.Â
Structurally, The Final Shape campaign is more akin to 2022’s The Witch Queen campaign, with its raid-like mechanics, layered boss battles, and engaging narrative.Â
As such, it’s no surprise that it’s a notable step up from the Lightfall campaign and a fitting sendoff to Destiny’s decade-long Light and Darkness saga.Â
The first seven missions aren’t the end, however, as there’s an extra eight campaign Final Shape campaign mission that is available after Salvation’s Edge world first.Â
And that’s pretty much it! That sums up our guide on how long it takes to beat Final Shape’s long-awaited story campaign.
