Sulis Hospital is gearing up for the grand opening of its new Sulis Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SEOC) this December by launching a recruitment drive for over 100 new roles.

SEOC will expand the existing hospital site just south of Bath offering roles range from clinical to support staff in departments from radiology to in-patients, hospitality to hospital administration.

New staff will be recruited for SEOC but will work across Sulis Hospital. Sulis is rated Outstanding for Caring and Good Overall by the Care Quality Commission. More information and expressions of interest in the new roles can be registered online.

A recent staff survey revealed that Sulis has built a strong foundation of trust and compassionate leadership within its culture. “The strong camaraderie in the team makes it a very happy place to work,” said one member of staff, while over three-quarters would recommend Sulis as a great place to work. Meanwhile, 98% of patients recommend the hospitals services.

In addition to private healthcare provision, the £25m SEOC will increase capacity and improve access for NHS patients to high-quality year-round elective orthopaedic care. Sulis Hospital is closely affiliated with the Royal United Hospital Bath. As part of its regional healthcare network, Sulis takes pride in being among the first independent hospitals to belong to an NHS Trust.

Simon Milner, hospital director, said: “At Sulis, we’ve created an environment where practitioners can give patients the care they’ve always wanted to give. We’re committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives – not only for our patients, but for all our staff, too. As we look forward to welcoming new team members with the opening of SEOC, I’m excited to expand our services and capacity.”
