Hope Hicks was spotted out and about in New York City days after her emotional testimony at Donald Trump’s criminal trial.
The 35-year-old former White House staffer appears to have stuck around in the Big Apple following her dramatic day on the witness stand at Manhattan Criminal Courthouse earlier this month, exclusive DailyMail.com photos show.
The glamorous one-time Trump aide and her mom, Caye Hicks, were snapped on Monday treating themselves to some retail therapy in a post-Mother’s Day outing in Midtown Manhattan.
The stylish mother-daughter duo opted to wander around the city on foot, walking along Central Park South from Sixth Avenue and eventually making their way to the escalators at Columbus Circle for some shopping.
Dressed in a camel-colored trench coat, black cropped pants, denim button shirt, and ballet flats, Hicks stayed true to her typical glammed up image, even sporting a fresh blow out.
Her mother Caye, whose right arm was in a sling, was slightly more casual but still chic in baby blue collared shirt, black leggings, and sneakers.
Hicks, a former teen model, entered Trump’s orbit and the media spotlight in 2017, drawing attention over her confident, yet reserved, and fashionable image.
But the glam PR executive broke character two weeks ago when she was reduced to tears on the stand at Donald Trump‘s hush money trial.
Hicks was an ultimate insider in the Trump world, having joined the ex-president’s administration at only 26 years old.
Her close links to the president saw her subpoenaed in the case, in which she was called to the stand on May 3.
Hicks gave detailed testimony on her time working for Trump and at one point even sobbed as she was asked about White House attempts to keep a lid on his sex scandals.
She had become one of Trump’s most trusted advisers, elevated to White House director of communications.
Entering the courtroom that Friday, Hicks said that she was nervous and avoided looking at her former boss as she shared what she knew from her time as his trusted top aide.
She revealed the pair have not been in contact since 2022.
Hicks nonetheless spoke warmly of Trump, his family, and her time at his side.
She praised his media savvy, people skills and ability to multitask, before the questions got to the more awkward business of Playboy models, infidelities and hush money payments.
Hicks had been a key figure in handling the 2016 campaign’s responses to the infamous Access Hollywood tape as well as damage control over Trump’s alleged affairs with Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels.
She first joined the Trump Organization in 2014, where she worked closely with his family.
By 2015, Hicks spoke with Trump every day either in person or by phone.
From the Trump Organization, she was tapped to join the Trump presidential campaign where she was on the road with the then-candidate and helped address some of the biggest issues of the campaign.
After Trump’s victory, Hicks followed Trump to the White House where she worked closely alongside him as his senior adviser and communications director, until her resignation in March 2018.
Not too long after, she left DC after landing a role as Fox News chief communications officer in Los Angeles.
She returned to the White House in 2020 as an aide to the president and then-White House advisor Jared Kushner.
Earlier this month, DailyMail.com revealed Hicks is set to tie the knot with her partner, Goldman Sachs boss Jim Donovan, 57, later this summer – four years after their secret romance was revealed.
Dad-of-four Donovan entered Hicks’s life in 2020 shortly before she left Los Angeles to return to DC to rejoin the Trump White House.
He was repeatedly spotted at her Brentwood home in the weeks leading up to her return to the east coast, with DailyMail.com photographing the now-engaged couple enjoying a double date at swanky restaurant Mr Chow and three-hour lunch at celebrity hotspot Nobu.
