Shoppers have voiced their displeasure over Home Bargains’ latest post on Instagram. The image shows an aisle packed with a vibrant and festive array of Christmas decorations.
Captioning the image, the store said: “Since Summer isn’t happening this year. Can we start to get excited about Christmas?”
It took no time at all for dozens of disinterested responses to flood in, reminding Home Bargains how distant December still is. Jayne retorted: “Can’t think of anything worse!!”

Similarly, Annabelle said: “Ridiculous, put it all away until November.” Further comments came from Adele, asserting: “Absolutely ridiculous.”
And Kim questioning: “You are joking”, reports Wales Online. Denise incredulously wondered: “Surely this can’t be real!? Right!? Just no!”
Brad pointed out the technicalities of seasonal periods by stating: “Thu, 20 Jun 2024 Sun, 22 Sept 2024 is summer… Gerra grip!” The sentiment was echoed by others, such as Temptress who replied: “This can’t be real???? This is so ridiculous.”
Jones suggested: “Give summer a chance technically summer has just started.” However, it wasn’t all negativity as plenty revealed their festive anticipation.
One giddy shopper shared: “Omg yes yes yes, can’t wait to see this aisle.” Another enthusiast added: “Yes yes yes bring it on.”
Megan, expressing pure excitement declared: “It’s always a time to be excited for Christmas.” Counting down the days, another added: “Absolutely yes!! After all, there are only 197 sleeps.”
Elsewhere, some were more intent on concentrating on the current festive events before moving onto Christmas. Lea commented: “Can we please do autumn/ Halloween first.”
AJ queried: “I have one question right now!!!! Where is our Halloween stuff!!!!” Rose expressed her astonishment: “Unbelievable, can we have Halloween first?”
Still, a few managed to see the humour in it all. Annock noted: “Think people have had sense of humour bypasses.” Karla joked: “So many aren’t getting it’s a joke.”
