HMD launched the Skyline in Pink and Black but also teased its Cyan version. However, at briefings, there was no mention of more colour options coming to the market, although HMD did test them.
Now, a store on German Amazon.de is announcing the HMD Skyline in Cyan, or Topaz Blue as mentioned in the description. The phone is priced at €549, which is a bit high, but still a reasonable price for a capable and feature-rich midranger.
Now, I’m starting to think that the Skyline is a child of the Nokia N8, which brought the anodized aluminium frame, and the Nokia N9, which introduced the Fabula design that the Skyline also features in its body. Well, Raun Forsyth did it, and we know he worked in Marko Ahtisaari’s design department.
One thing I’m sure of: the Black or Cyan, even Golden or Yellow Skyline, would suit me better than the Pink one. It gave me strange looks across the city. At least the ladies loved it, which is something my wife didn’t approve of, ha ha.
