Fortnite is no stranger to wild skins, which recently have ranged from Godzilla to Mariah Carey arriving in the game two days from now. But tonight? A new era begins. Fortnite has gotten so online that it is bringing the infamous meme Skibidi Toilet to the shop.
I’m not sure it’s even fully worth explaining what Skibidi Toilet is because either you know, or you will never really understand what the hell is going on here. The long and short of it is that it’s a number of videos made in Source Filmmaker that exploded on YouTube with tens of millions of views, becoming one of the most prominent Zoomer memes of that generation. You want to see it? Okay, enjoy:
Look, I’m not going to judge. Do you know how many completely dumb and nonsense memes we had as millennials growing up? What comes to mind when I say “Badger” or “Banana”? Yeah, if you’re my age, you know. This is like Fortnite getting those skins.
What’s actually coming, and when? Well, shop reset is tonight at 8 PM ET, which is when Skibidi arrives in a few different forms. According to leaks there will be:
- A Plungerman Skin for 1,500 V-Bucks or a 2,200 V-Buck bundle.
- Skibidi Toilet Back Bling for 600 V-Bucks. You can guess what that looks like.
- Plungerman’s Plunger Pickaxe for 800 V-Bucks. That’s probably…a plunger.
There was a viral Skibidi emote going around the last few days, but that turned out to be a mod rather than anything official. Unless I’ve missed something there is not an actual Skibidi Toilet emote.
Something about this collab just feels different than any other one. Sure, we’ve had random Fortnite skins before, but this random? This feels like a moment where there is going to be a before Fortnite got Skibidi Toilet, and after. And nothing will ever be the same.
So, get your V-Bucks ready for tonight if you want to be apart of the meme movement that you’re about to see explode in the game. I can almost guarantee you this is going to be one of the most popular skins they’ve done in a very long time, and I cannot wait/am horrified to see all of these in action.
