Here’s the first look at the Galaxy Ring charging case

Must read

The Galaxy Ring will be here soon. Samsung already semi-unveiled the Galaxy Ring, its first smart ring, at the Mobile World Congress in February, following a tease at the Galaxy S24 Unpacked event. On July 10, the company will formally launch the ring at its second Unpacked event of 2024.

The Galaxy Ring charging case looks fancy

Samsung has kept most details about the watch under wraps since the initial unveiling and has done its best to prevent leaks. But it’s not doing a perfect job. That’s evident by the latest leak that shows us the charging case/cradle for the Galaxy Ring.

While Samsung showed off the ring a few months ago, this is the first time we’re seeing its charging case. The design here is fancier than the cases for Samsung’s wireless earbuds, though the charging mechanic will be the same. The charging cable will connect to the cradle as the watch sits inside, and the case is also likely to support wireless charging.

Samsung has teased that the Galaxy Ring will provide up to nine days of battery life on a single charge. The battery capacity will not be the same for all the sizes the ring will be available in, so we can expect battery life to vary by size as well.

The Galaxy Ring is expected to go on sale in August, at least in the US, with a rumored price tag somewhere in the $300-$350 range. It’s unclear if the ring will go on sale worldwide at the same time or come to different markets in a phased manner.

In addition to the Galaxy Ring, Samsung will launch new smartwatches and earbuds at the upcoming Unpacked event. These wearables will be the most exciting part of the event, as the new Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip models won’t bring many upgrades.
