The new Truth Enforcers Warbond is almost here, bringing new weapons and armour to Helldivers 2. While many players are content enough with the arrival of the tank-decimating WW1-era Constitution Rifle, the release of the Truth Enforcers update adds even more options to the popular multiplayer game.

However, it turns out that the game’s latest weapons may not be the best weapons in Helldivers 2, although they certainly aren’t bad. Nevertheless, a new leak shows that the latest additions to the Super Earth arsenal are simply mid.

Truth Enforcer weapons won’t shift the Helldivers needle

As spotted by ever-diligent dataminer IronS1ghts, the new Truth Enforcer Warbond weapons are exciting new additions with some rather okay stats. While players have been very hyped for the arrival of the PLAS-15 Loyalist plasma pistol, which fans claimed would be a game changer, the new pistol is rather okay.

With a base damage of 125 per shot and a capacity of 7, the pistol does a decent amount of damage on hit. However, players can also charge the weapon shot for a more powerful hit which should increase the damage per shot to around 250, at least judging by previous charge weapons.

For SMG lovers, the new Warbond’s SMG-32 Reprimand is one of the most beautiful weapons in the game. However, with a damage output of 125 per bullet and a particularly puny magazine size of 25, the weapon may not earn a place on your permanent loadout.

Finally, there’s the SG-20 HALT shotgun, a new close-range gun that has two separate magazines: one for armour-piercing and another for stunning. With a damage output of 385 and a capacity of 16 slugs per mag, it’s actually one of the more enticing offerings in the new Warbond.

As with any weapon in Helldivers 2, the middling stats attached to the game’s new weapons are fine. It’s not about the tool, but how you use it, and as thousands of divers currently shred through bots and bugs with rusty rifles, it’s usually also about how you roleplay.

What’s next?

After the release of Truth Enforcers, Arrowhead is continuing to develop more content for Helldivers 2. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, there will be an official announcement for the game’s often-leaked, long-awaited Clan System, allowing players to create their own guilds and events.

Furthermore, the arrival of The Illuminate—HD2’s third faction—is still in the works as the game continues to tease the psychic aliens. It’s a good time to be a Diver.
