Heathside Travel adds a further Irizar integral with another on order – routeone

Must read

Heathside Travel of Ferndown in Dorset has grown its fleet of Irizar integral coaches with the arrival of an i6S Efficient, supplied by Irizar UK.

It is a 13.2m tri-axle example that carries a metallic purple livery. 50 seats are fitted along with magazine nets, drop-down tables, USB charging points and three-point belts. Synthetic leather laterals, headrests and armrests at each position complement soft trim.

Seat numbers are embroidered into headrests with silver stitching, while wood-effect flooring with carpet in the aisle is also provided. Aisle lighting is in blue and the coach comes with a centre sunken toilet and an extended servery area with a Nespresso machine and a hot- and cold-water sink.

Entertainment is from a Bosch Smart Service audio system and an Actia DVD player that feeds to two monitors.

Heathside Travel has ordered a further Irizar integral coach for delivery in spring 2025. Speaking about the most recent delivery, Managing Director Tim Southby (pictured, left) says: “If it is not broken, don’t fix it. We have returned to Irizar once again and are very proud of the coach we have created with it. The service we receive is always five-star.”

Mr Southby founded award-winning Heathside Travel with a minicoach in 2015. The metallic purple i6S Efficient integral made its debut at the UK Coach rally earlier this year and was rewarded with the Boon’s Award for best coordinated décor.

Power is from a 12.9-litre DAF MX-13 engine developing 483bhp coupled to a ZF AS-Tronic automated manual gearbox.
