Harry Kane has urged Gareth Southgate to pick an England star in his Euro 2024 squad following his showing against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
England beat Bosnia 3-0 at St James’ Park on Monday in their penultimate game ahead of the competition in Germany this summer.
Cole Palmer opened the scoring from the spot on the hour mark, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harry Kane adding a second and third late on.
Fans online have demanded Southgate picks one player for their Euro 2024 opener against Serbia.
And after the match, Kane, who entered the fray in the second-half, heaped praise on Palmer and hailed his goal-scoring outing, insisting he’s ‘very happy’ to have him in the squad.
Asked about the Chelsea star’s form, the England captain replied: “He’s had an unbelievable season.
“It’s never easy moving club as well so for him to do what he’s done in his first season at Chelsea, it’s a credit to him.
“We’re very happy to have him, I’m delighted he got his goal there. Of course, we’re going to need all our players to chip in with goals throughout this tournament so the more people feeling good the better.”

Palmer, who scored an impressive 25 goals across all competitions for Chelsea last season, also received praise from Southgate.
“I thought they both played with the freedom,” he explained.
“Ebere has got lovely movement to go past players, he’s got power. I thought Cole linked the game well for us.
“A couple of times, Cole was being too precise and if he got his shots away earlier maybe he could’ve got a couple.”
Palmer enjoyed a sensational campaign at Stamford Bridge in his debut season at the club.
And he’ll be looking to continue his form into Euro 2024 should he be picked in Southgate’s 26-man squad.
