Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Harry Kane will miss the final Bundesliga game of the season through injury.
Tuchel confirmed that the England captain has left Germany to receive treatment on a back injury and will miss Bayern’s last game against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Kane’s injury comes ahead of Gareth Southgate naming his preliminary England squad on Tuesday for Euro 2024 in Germany which kicks off next month. The severity of the 30-year-old’s injury is unknown, with him to receive treatment from his personal doctor.

Tuchel said: “Harry is getting treatment from his personal doctor. He can’t travel. He was already at the limit in Madrid. He had a complete blockade in his back, it’s gotten worse and bothers him in everyday movements.”
Kane started Bayern’s Champions League second leg defeat against Real Madrid on May 9, but was substituted in the 85th minute of the game with the Bavarians trailing and he has not featured since.

Southgate’s preliminary squad is to be announced on Tuesday (May 21) at 2pm ahead of friendly matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 3 in Newcastle and Iceland on June 7 at Wembley. The final 26-man squad to travel to Euro 2024 will be confirmed after the Iceland game.
England begin their campaign against Serbia on June 16, before taking on Denmark and Slovenia in their other two group stage games. Time will tell if England’s all-time record goalscorer can recover in time to feature in any of them.
