The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Colombia on Thursday to start a four-day visit.
The couple were welcomed by the vice-president, Francia Márquez, who invited them to take part in a series of events aimed at tackling online abuse among young people and support local mental health initiatives, according to a statement issued by her office.
At a press conference before the duke and duchess arrived, Márquez said that she had seen their hit Netflix documentary series Harry & Meghan and had been “moved and inspired” to invite the duchess to Colombia to “share her story”.
