Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have a new addition to their family.

The No Doubt singer, 54, shared a video to her Instagram introducing her 17.7 million followers to Corn Shelton.

‘This is Corn Shelton. The day he showed up to our home, he was hardly alive + so sick, but with a lot of love + nurturing, he became a healthy kitten. We’re so grateful that he’s a part of our family,’ she captioned the post.

Corn is an adorable grey and white kitten that The Voice judge found at her home on the verge of death.

Gwen – who recently announced her first studio album in seven years – nursed Corn back to health and got so attached to him that she adopted the cute green-eyed kitty.

Fans gushed over the cute kitty and the story of its rescue in the comments section.

‘That Cat Distribution System even knows Gwen!,’ one fan humorously quipped while another added, ‘You have been chosen by the kitty distribution system haha.’

‘Here for Gwen in her Country Era,’ someone else wrote, while another fan pointed out the obvious, ‘imagine being @gwenstefani & @blakeshelton‘s cat? R u joking?’

Gwen brought the kitten on stage during the season premiere of The Voice earlier this week and used it to lure contestants to her team.

The way she handled the kitten caused backlash among viewers and fans with a number of them slamming her for ‘torture’ of the tiny cat which is a totally different mindset from the commenters on her new cat video.

Singer Sydney Sterlace sang Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License and Stefani handed her the cat afterward in an attempt to convince Sydney to pick her as a mentor.

She said: ‘You know Sydney… I had this little thing happen to me.

‘This little creature came up to my porch and was like barely alive and I was like “I love you, you’re my new cat” but I don’t have a name! Then I thought maybe I can name it Sydney.’

She raised her voice as the kitten meowed and said: ‘This cat’s name is Sydney!’

When Sydney picked Stefani as her mentor, the Spiderwebs singer screamed ‘oh my god!’ while holding the wriggling kitten – who appeared to be around six weeks old – in the air as she hugged her new mentee.

She then walked offstage holding the kitten in the air with both hands – with her behavior quickly branded ‘disturbing,’ ‘horrifying’ and ‘unacceptable.’

One fan wrote: ‘Please never let Gwen near an animal again. They way she kept hoisting that tiny, scared kitten sky high above her head was horrifying.’

Another penned: ‘love you to bits, but please never do that to such a young animal again. The noise, the way you held it like it was a stuffed animal dangling from your fingers, all of it would be traumatizing for such a very young kitten.’

Others wrote: ‘Please don’t bring baby animals on and swing them around for entertainment. So sad to see that scared kitten’
