GTA Online Finally Makes Game-Changing Fix & The Community Is Rejoicing

Must read

Grand Theft Auto: Online players should hopefully run into far fewer cheaters now as Rockstar has finally added a system to deal with hackers. It’s a widely known fact that GTA: Online is plagued by those who use third-party software to gain an unfair advantage over legitimate players, most commonly in the form of aim bots or wall-hacks. Rockstar has done its best to moderate the game and ban when necessary, but cheaters now need to look out for a bigger threat.

Almost a decade after its release, Rockstar has added BattleEye to GTA Online, and while some have an issue with the tech, the anti-cheat software is considered to be one of the best in the industry. Overall, the community is pleased with the addition with many hoping it sets a precedent for the future.

Could GTA 6 Feature BattleEye?

It Sounds Like A Great Idea

The GTA Online community is undoubtedly pleased to have BattleEye even if it is coming just months ahead of GTA 6, but that fact also has many confident for the future. The multiplayer mode of Rockstar’s seminal open-world game Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a stomping ground for hackers ever since it launched in 2013 and users have begged for years for some kind of solution. Now that BattleEye has been added to GTA Online, it stands to reason that the sixth game’s multiplayer mode will also feature the software.

Whether or not that comes to pass remains to be seen but it would be a good idea for Rockstar to be proactive. GTA 6 is shaping up to be the biggest video game launch in history so having the early experience ruined by cheaters would likely leave a sour taste in the mouths of most consumers. Given the popularity of the mode, impressing the community with a fluid, stable experience will be imperative to GTA 6‘s success.

As the world waits patiently for some kind of update on Rockstar’s next game, Grand Theft Auto: Online continues to rake in money. Its success has many wondering how the studio will approach the mode in GTA 6, with many speculating whether Rockstar intends to continue support for GTA 5‘s multiplayer. Having both running simultaneously may prove too expensive, so one can only hope that die-hard GTA Online fans find what they’re looking for in GTA 6.
