Good Samaritan who beat up ‘illegal immigrant child rapist’ reveals his satisfying comeback to pleading suspect as he lay cowering on street

A Good Samaritan who beat up an illegal immigrant child rape suspect has revealed the sharp comeback he made as the man pleaded for mercy.

Jeffrey Flores, 24, said: ‘He was yelling for help… he kept saying “Help!”… and I said, “That’s what the little girl was saying”.’

Flores issued the riposte to Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, 25, on seeing him at his local deli in Corona, Queens, Tuesday night.

Inga-Landi, from Ecuador, is accused of raping a 13 year-old girl while brandishing a machete last Thursday and also abducting a second youngster at the same time.

His image was widely-circulated by local media after, with Flores and a friend who gave his name as Forge quickly realizing the suspect was a local man.

They staked out a deli they’d seen him in, with Flores dragging Inga-Landi outside and tying him to a light post on seeing him show up.

Inga-Landi crawled under a nearby car in a bid to escape the blows of six outraged locals – with both men saying they may well have killed him had he not escaped the orgy of vigilante violence.

Flores told DailyMail.com: ‘What we were thinking of doing to him was much worse.’

Forge added: ‘Honestly, who knows what would have happened (if he hadn’t crawled under the car).

‘He probably wouldn’t be here.’

Inga-Landi, who’s said to have illegally-crossed the southern border in 2021, was arrested soon after and is being held in jail on charges including rape, sex abuse, robbery and unlawful endangerment.

Recalling how he’d tracked down the creep, Flores said: ‘When I heard about him I said “Oh yeah I’m staying out and looking for him…”

‘Then I saw him walking down the street, and I recognized him. I was hyped up… He went inside the store… I forget what he was buying.

‘So I went in and back out, then in again a second time, he still wasn’t out. He was just standing there so I grabbed him and I put him on the floor

‘I told the people there that he was the rapist and then everybody just started going crazy.’

Flores is now in line to collect a $10,000 reward offered by the NYPD for Inga-Landi’s successful capture.

He told DailyMail.com that he’d contacted police about the cash and says they’ll get back to him within days.

Flores added: ‘I didn’t do it for the reward, I did it for the people.’

After being arrested, Inga-Landi is said to have waived his Miranda rights and told police officers that drugs were to blame for his behavior.

He allegedly added that he’d never behaved in that way before.

NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell praised Flores, Forge and their friends for taking down Inga-Landi saying: ‘The city said no. Great community response and that’s what you want.’
