Good Morning Britain viewers ‘switch off’ as they issue host complaint

Must read

The ITV hit breakfast show Good Morning Britain made a triumphant return on Monday morning, with the familiar faces of Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley greeting viewers.

Kicking off the programme, Kate launched in with a cheery: “Good Morning Britain,” before the conversation quickly pivoted to the previous night’s Euro final heartache. She elaborated: “Heartbreak to England as they suffered a devastating 2-1 defeat to Spain.”

Richard chimed in with a probing: “How are you feeling today?” prompting Kate to respond: “Well I think that it’s still great that we were in the final. I’m old enough to remember so many games where it was so much worse but your heart broke for everyone.”

Richard then shared his pivotal moment: “The big moment for me is when we got the goal. It felt like we were on fire at last. My man of the match was our goalie. He had an amazing game and made some extraordinary saves and for me he is the hero of the game.”

Kate continued, expressing collective disappointment: “All our hearts are broken and Spain scored last minute so it was not to be,” reports the Mirror. Richard also teased what was coming up on the show.

Viewers immediately took to social media to express their thoughts on seeing Kate and Richard back on their screens.

One viewer queried: “Where is Susanna today, sleeping in after staying up to watch the football #gmb.”

Meanwhile, another was less impressed: “How is this Garraway on here, is she just here to tick a box. Probably the worst presenter there can be. Whenever she is on we switch over.”

“Why Richard and Kate,” someone else queried, whilst another pleaded desperately: “Bring back Ed or Adil!” Venting their frustration over the choice of presenters, another viewer bluntly penned: “I’m off! !”

One more chimed in with a terse: “Can’t watch it now.”

Contrary to the negative outpour, one admirer commended: “I love these two.” Meanwhile, another enthused: “Great to see Richard Madeley back first time.”
