Hollywood elite of film and television gather tonight for the Golden Globes, marking the official start of awards season 2025.
Held at the Beverly Hilton, the gala event is underway with attendees Cate Blanchett, Hiroyuki Sanada, Glen Powell, Mindy Kaling, Ali Wong, Abby Elliott, Tyler James Williams, and Liza Colón-Zayas, with more to come.
Strong contenders for awards this year include the films Emilia Pérez, Wicked, Gladiator II, Anora, Conclave, and A Complete Unknown, along with the TV series Baby Reindeer, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, Shōgun, and Slow Horses.
The Golden Globes will recognize Viola Davis with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her film career and Ted Danson with the Carol Burnett Award for his television achievements. Presenters for the first major awards show of the season will take the stage alongside comedian, actress, and host Nikki Glaser, who is making history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes on her own.
