GMB’s Alex Beresford congratulated by co-stars as he announces baby news

Good Morning Britain star Alex Beresford has shared the delightful news that he is due to become a dad once again.

The ITV star, 43, married Imogen McKay in September 2022.

He expressed his adoration for his wife as he announced that their family is expanding, marking their first child together and Alex’s second, as he has son Cruz, 12, from his first marriage.

Taking to Instagram, Alex shared a sweet snap of Imogen’s growing baby bump, clothed by a cream knitted dress.

He placed a protective hand on her blossoming belly while Imogen held his arm, her wedding ring prominent.

Alex’s caption read: ‘The greatest gift. In awe of my beautiful wife growing Baby B. We can’t wait to meet you. x’

He was quickly congratulated by his co-stars, with Charlotte Hawkins commenting: ‘Ahh massive congratulations!!! ❤️’

‘Congratulations ❤️’, wrote Judi Love while Dr Amir Khan wrote: ‘The most wonderful news!’

Susanna Reid added: ‘The best news – huge congratulations to you all’.

Ben Shephard, who left GMB for This Morning earlier this year, penned to his former colleague: ‘Ahhh what wonderful news ❤️❤️’

The likes of Julia Bradbury, Bobby Seagull, Adil Ray, and Charlene White were also on hand to send supportive messages.

Alex’s marriage to Natalia Natkaniec broke down in 2019.

The two began living separately the following year, just before the pandemic hit, and he met Imogen that year.

Alex, who marks a decade as a weather presenter on GMB this year, said ‘I do’ in a stunning clifftop ceremony after two years of dating, as they wed at the Son Marroig estate on the island of Majorca.

The broadcaster and Celebrity Race Across the World star, bestowed his son Cruz with the responsibility of being ring bearer and his ‘mini best man.’

Alex and Imogen’s big day took place on the same date as Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

He explained afterwards tht he was able to pay his respects to the late monarch, as he watched the start of the state funeral on TV in a café in Majorca.
