A MAJOR high street retailer is set to open a second Glasgow store later this year.
Lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret will join a number of new brands opening stores at Glasgow‘s Fort.
Launching a new retail concept, the standalone shop will open its doors this autumn.
The iconic brand opened its first Scottish store on Glasgow’s Buchanan Street in 2018.
Just one of 24 new store leases agreed in the last year, Victoria’s Secret will join a number of new brands like Adidas and Primark opening in the Fort.
The retailer is famed for its iconic supermodels like Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks and world famous fashion shows.
It operates around 1,600 shops worldwide.
One of 18 standalone Victoria’s Secret stores in the UK, details of the new Glasgow store’s design and layout have yet to be revealed.
With over 16 million visitors last year, retailers are “thrilled” to be setting up shop in the Glasgow retail park after it recorded the highest footfall in history in 2023.
Victoria’s Secret head of retail Daniel Cook said: “Growth in Scotland is a key part of our retail plan therefore we are thrilled to be joining the portfolio in Glasgow Fort with our latest store design.
“The new space promises to be inviting, inclusive and continues to fulfil our goal of uplifting and empowering women around the world.”
We told in May how the Fort shopping outlet had launched a major recruitment drive as it continues to expand.
The venue held the massive jobs fair which offered more than 100 roles at its stores and surrounding businesses.
We previously told how a brand new Primark store is set to be opened at the outlet.
The budget high street clothing giant is expected to open its doors at a huge unit in early 2025.
