Glasgow travel agents raise funds for CHSS in Kiltwalk challenge

Must read

Inspired by their colleagues’ battles with stroke, staff at a travel agent in Glasgow completed the Kiltwalk for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS).

Last month, eight employees at Clyde Travel Management raised money for CHSS, a charity that supports people suffering from chest, heart, stroke conditions, and long covid.

A spokesperson for Clyde Travel Management said: “We were taking part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk for CHSS as one of our colleagues had a stroke and another colleague’s brother had a stroke and CHSS supported him after it.

“The walk was fantastic but the cramps in the legs a week later were not.

“But it was all worth it in the end to raise money for a great cause.”

Clyde Travel Management provides end-to-end travel management services, business travel management for corporate companies, and crew mobilisations for the marine, offshore and renewable sectors.

Louise MacLeod, community, events and corporate fundraiser at CHSS, said: “On behalf of everyone at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland we want to say a huge thank you to the team at Clyde Travel Management for their fundraising efforts.

“The funds raised will help us to support the 1 in 5 people across the country who are living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and Long Covid to live their lives to the full.”

The charity has pledged to reach 175,000 people living with its conditions across Scotland a year by 2028 through its Community Healthcare Support Services.
