Janey Godley shared the devastating news on social media on Wednesday, September 25.
The 63-year-old Scots star thanked the NHS, family, friends, and fans for all the support she has received.

In the post, Janey said: “Hey everybody, Janey here. Well, it seems that we have run out of options and we can no longer go any further with the treatment.
“So, I’m now in palliative care and I’m at end-of-life care now in the hospital.
“The chemo ran out of options and I just couldn’t take any more of it and the cancer has spread.
“So, it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it and it’s really difficult to speak about this and say it to people.
“I want to thank the NHS, the Scottish NHS, the Beatson, the Marie Curie, and the Royal Infirmary.”
She added: “It is devastating news to know I’m facing end-of-life but we all come to an end sometime.
“I want to thank everybody for supporting my family, especially Ashley and my husband. The overwhelming support has been amazing.
“I don’t know how long I’ve got left before anybody asks, I’m not a tik-tok. So, I just want you all to know that I appreciate all the love you have given me and all the support.
“Cancer affects two in one people and it has affected me.
“So, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, hopefully, I might be here, who knows, don’t know, not a tik-tok.
“But I just want you to know that I’m sending all my love and support to everybody else out there who is living with a life-limiting disease.
“Thanks everybody for all your love.”
The comedian captioned the post: “I’m now at end-of-life care – palliative care and will be going into a hospice for the foreseeable.
“Thanks to everyone who sends me love and support – you’ve been amazing.”

It comes after we reported how the comic cancelled her autumn tour amid ongoing treatment for ovarian cancer.
Janey was due to embark on the Why Is She Still Here? tour, which included dates across UK cities including London, Belfast and Edinburgh, before her doctors advised her that she should stop working “for the foreseeable future”.
She was set to perform at Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo as part of the tour on Sunday, November 17.
The Glaswegian woman, who found viral fame with her dubbed pastiches of Nicola Sturgeon’s coronavirus news briefings during the pandemic, revealed she had ovarian cancer in November 2021.
In 2022, the comedian was given the all-clear and said in a post to X that a scan showed “no evidence of disease”.
However, she later announced that another scan had shown signs of the disease in her abdomen but added that she would continue with her tour in February and March 2023.
In a video she posted to social media last year, Godley said she had received scan results that showed the treatment she was on was keeping her terminal and incurable ovarian cancer “at bay”.
