GIVING your partner a kiss goodnight is falling out of fashion as we are seduced by our smartphones, a poll suggests.
Fewer than half of couples — just 47 per cent — end the day with a peck, compared with eight in ten back in 2000.
Meanwhile, more than eight in ten of the 1,000 couples questioned said they preferred to whip out their mobiles last thing at night.
The poll, by Cybersecurity company NordVPN, wanted to find the most popular activities adults get up to in the five minutes before sleep.
It found most turned to their smartphones to check social media, messages, emails or news.
More than a third liked to watch YouTube videos.

Marijus Briedis, of NordVPN, said the lack of affection before bedtime showed people “pay more attention to their phones than partners”.
He added: “If things get heated in the bedroom, it’s most likely because the wi-fi is on the blink.”
