Nadine Coyle has been forced to pull out of a festival due to ‘exhaustion’ following Girls Aloud nationwide tour.

The girl group toured England, Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland from mid-May to the end of June, performing 30 dates in total, many of which were back-to-back.

They ended their tour in Liverpool and Nadine, 39, broke down in tears during their staple tribute to the late Sarah Harding

Sarah, who died from cancer in 2021, was a founding member of Girls Aloud alongside Nadine, Cheryl, 41, Nicola Roberts, 38, and Kimberley Walsh, 42.

Nadine was due to perform at the Kubix Festival in Sunderland on Saturday, sharing the stage with the likes of Busted, Basshunter, and Cascada.

However, in a joint Instagram and Facebook post on Tuesday, Rubix announced a schedule change.

They wrote: ‘Unfortunately, Nadine Coyle is no longer able to play Kubix due to exhaustion but we hope she gets plenty of rest and will be inviting her back to a future Festival!’

At the same time, they announced that ’90s boyband Damage, known for their 1996 hit Forever, will be filling her slot.

MailOnline has contacted Nadine’s representative for comment.

The Girls Aloud Show tour was the group’s first tour without Sarah and they paid tribute to her every single show.

Girls Aloud incorporated imagery and even vocals of Sarah into the performances of their hit songs.

A notable inclusion was Sarah’s infamous ‘walking Primrose’ bridge in their 2008 smash hit The Promise.

This was especially emotional when the group performed in Sarah’s native Manchester with Sarah’s mother Marie in attendance.

Sarah announced one year prior to her death at 39 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer which sadly spread to other parts of her body.

During her last few months, Sarah moved in with Cheryl and her son Bear who she shares with Liam Payne.

Following her death, Nadine, Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola made the decision to fulfil Sarah’s last wish and head out on tour to celebrate her.

Profits from the completely sold-out The Girls Aloud Show were donated to The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, which has helped raise vital funds for research into the disease.

At Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena, where the tour ended on June 30, the group sung alongside a previously unreleased recording of their 2004 hit I’ll Stand By You, which featured only Sarah’s vocals.

I’ll Stand By You, originally performed by The Pretenders in 1994, was the official charity single for Children in Need 2004.

Despite only being announced 10 days before its release, the song became Girls Aloud’s second number one.

Moments before the four girls walked off stage for the final time, a photograph of Sarah appeared behind them with the text: ‘In loving memory of Sarah Nicole Harding. 17.11.81 05.09.2021’.

British-Irish pop group Girls Aloud formed in 2002 on the ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals.

They released five studio albums, two of which reached number one, and they had four number-one and 21 top-10 singles.
