Germany was warned by Saudi Arabia over Christmas market killer

Saudi Arabia says it repeatedly warned the German government about the extremist views of the man who drove a car into a ­Christmas market killing at least five people, including a nine-year-old, and injuring hundreds more.

Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, a 50-year-old doctor who arrived in Germany in 2006 from the Middle Eastern country, is suspected of ploughing a vehicle into crowds of festive shoppers on Friday evening in Magdeburg, a city 80 miles west of Berlin.
