Lowery, who has over 24 years UK and overseas experience, will advance Galliford Try’s growth strategy within both the environment and infrastructure business units.

Glennan Blackmore will succeed Lowery as managing director of Galliford Try’s infrastructure unit in August, joining the business from Skanska, where he most recently led the highways sector.

Since joining Galliford Try three years ago from Eiffage, Lowery has been instrumental in raising Galliford Try’s profile in the highways sector, developing capability across work streams for National Highways, local authorities and major projects and growing orders.

Before Eiffage, he was a director at JV Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM and also earlier to that a project director at Carillion.

In his new role, he will continue to shape the development of this business unit, as well as overseeing the environment division, which is now one of the largest players in the water sector.
