Galaxy Z Flip 6 specifications confirmed in a new leak

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will look similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and most improvements will be internal. According to reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 sports a 6.7-inch (probably Dynamic AMOLED 2x) screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB RAM, and 256GB/512GB storage. That is an upgrade from 8GB RAM used in the Galaxy Z Flip 5 last year.

The upcoming foldable phone is said to feature a 50MP primary rear camera with an F1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultrawide camera with an F2.2 aperture. On top of the internal screen, it is said to feature a 10MP selfie camera with an F2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 reportedly measures 165 x 71.7 x 7.4mm, which makes it slightly beefier than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 (165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm).

Moreover, the tipster claims that the upcoming foldable phone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and has 35W fast charging. Before you get your hopes high, though, we think the 35W fast charging figure might be a mistake. We believe it is 25W fast charging.

The new processor should give the phone more processing power, which will be helpful in gaming and AI tasks. Its higher RAM might be necessary for more advanced Galaxy AI features that Samsung might unveil at its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10.

The phone’s 50MP primary camera should offer a 2x optical quality zoom for telephoto and portrait shots.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will likely run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 software with new Galaxy AI and regular features. Looking at Samsung’s track record, the company could promise to offer the phone major Android OS and security updates for seven years.

The phone might also have an IPX8 rating, stereo speakers, Samsung Pay, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
