Galaxy Watch Ultra branding confirmed by Samsung

Must read

Samsung is expected to launch its first Ultra smartwatch this year, and it will be joined by the regular Galaxy Watch 7. It was unclear if the company would call it the Galaxy Watch Ultra or the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.

It now appears that Samsung would call it the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

Galaxy Watch Ultra’s name confirmed on Samsung’s own website

According to the company’s website, Samsung will call its first premium smartwatch the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The South Korean firm’s website for the Canadian market briefly listed (via 91Mobiles) the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra’s LTE model before removing its support webpage.

As you can see in the screenshot above, the webpage mentioned the Galaxy Watch Ultra, its size (47mm), and its connectivity (LTE). So, its case size is as big as the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and its frame is reportedly made of titanium. Other than that, no information about the upcoming premium smartwatch was revealed on the webpage.

However, thanks to the previous leaks and reports, we know that the Galaxy Watch Ultra will feature a 3nm 5-core Exynos processor, 32GB inbuilt storage, and a 590mAh battery. The smartwatch also features 10ATM pressure resistance and three physical buttons. It reportedly has a $700 price tag.

It runs Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch software with Galaxy AI-powered features, including personalized health tips. This version of One UI Watch also brings new watch faces, the Energy Level feature, more detailed sleep analysis, Workout Routines, the double pinch gesture, faster horizontal scrolling, and more actions and conditions in the Modes & Routines app.

One UI 6 Watch also brings favorite emojis, the ability to save attached images, a new default font, and an improved Power Saving mode. The new software also makes connecting to paired wireless earbuds easier when turned on and in range.
