A PRICEY Taylor Swift merchandise stall is punting friendship bracelets for £30 a pop.
Hundreds of eager fans braved the wind and rain this morning to get their hands on official Swiftie gear ahead of the three Edinburgh shows this weekend.
Concert-goers forked out hundreds of pounds for their tickets alone and didn’t hesitate to splash even more cash on the exclusive merch outside Murrayfield Stadium.
Friends Constantine Xekomnios, Rafaela Panou and Dimitris Mylanos, travelled from Athens to see the hitmaker live in Edinburgh.
Rafaela said: “We got a lot of things. The clothing is maybe a little overpriced, but it’s worth it. We can’t wait to see Taylor live.
“We travelled a long way, but we expect to spend around £700 each all in so it’s actually not too bad for a holiday. We’ll get to see Edinburgh too.”
Two days before the concerts kicked off, merch tents were selling hoodies at £70 and friendship bracelets at a staggering £30.
Friendship bracelets have become a running theme throughout Swift’s International Eras Tour, with fans crafting homemade bracelets as a way of making friends with fellow Swifties.
Murrayfield security guard Daniel Massud, 28, has already received a few bracelets himself.
He said: “It’s a really nice gesture. I’ve been given two so far and we’re only a few hours in.
“It’s bound to be quite a chaotic weekend. We’re preparing well in advance for it.”
Hairdresser Thomas McGonagle added: “I’ve got loads of friendship bracelets.
“I’ve been doing all of my friend’s hair to prep for the concert.
“They were making bracelets while I was cutting their hair.
“We spent all of last weekend making them.”
Marketing officer Molly Gilroy, 27, has made 60 bracelets ahead of the show.
She said: “I’ve spent a lot of time making them.
“I’ve got some on a little karabiner specifically to trade at the concert and then the rest I’ll wear on each arm.
“The prices at the merch stall here are pretty expensive.
