Fresh glimpse of town’s new health and fitness club

Must read

An image has been revealed showing what a new health and fitness club in Suffolk could look like once construction is complete.

David Lloyd Bury St Edmunds, off Sandlands Drive on the Marham Park estate, is on schedule to open to its doors this winter and the latest imagery shows the leisure centre’s proposed outdoor layout.

Although the layout is subject to change, the £20 million facility will offer heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa garden, indoor tennis courts and outdoor padel courts, a 100-plus station gym, group exercise studios and facilities for children.

Memberships are now available and once signed up, club members will be given the chance to look around the centre through a 360-degree virtual tour.

Stuart Caswell, new club acquisitions director, said: “The new club in Bury has been met with a great deal of excitement ahead of its opening later this year.

“We are looking forward to welcoming members to David Lloyd and building a thriving community within the new club.”

The facility will create more than 75 jobs and planning permission for the 2.01 hectare site was approved in July.
