UPDATE: Fortnite developer Epic Games estimates that downtime will last for a whopping seven hours!
According to the estimated maintenance schedule posted on the Epic Games server status website, downtime is expected to run from 6am GMT until 1pm GMT UK time.

Fortnite downtime seems more likely to end at some point between 10-11am GMT (or maybe even earlier), so keep checking back for the latest updates.

In terms of what fans can expect, Remix will re-introduce the Chapter 2 map, only with a surprise twist or two.
The shortened season will introduce new map points of interest, gameplay elements and characters each week.
