WWE fan favourite Ricochet is officially All Elite after making his debut at All In London.

The former Intercontinental and United States Champion left the sports entertainment giant at the end of June when he contract expired, and he made his next move official at Wembley Stadium.

The so-called One And Only has long been rumoured to be joining Tony Khan’s promotion, and that proved to be the case on Sunday night.

He was a surprise entrant in the Casino Gauntlet match, following shock appearances from the likes of Zack Sabre Jr and British wrestling legend Nigel McGuinness.

The likes of Kyle O’Reilly, Jeff Jarrett and Mark Briscoe made up the rest of the field, but it was former world champion Christian Cage who made headlines and won the high stakes bout.

He was helped to a tainted win by his ally Luchasaurus, who looked like he was going to betray his teammate before he helped him to victory which earns him an AEW World Title match at any point of his choosing.

This marked Ricochet’s first wrestling appearance since being attacked by Bron Breakker and written off television in brutal scenes that saw him leaving in an ambulance as his fiancee Samantha Irvin broke down in tears

As reported by PWInsider at the time of his last appearance, Ricochet made it known to WWE bosses that he won’t be staying, bringing an end to his six-year tenure.

Despite not being a main eventer, his time on the main roster included runs with the Intercontinental and United States Titles.

Ricochet, McGuinness and ZSJ weren’t the only surprises for the Wembley crowd, with Zack Gibson and James Drake – known together as Grizzled Young Veterans – making a real impression.

They came out to stand face to face with retaining tag team champions The Young Bucks, setting the stage for a dream match before beating down FTR and The Acclaimed.

There was another surprise on the Zero Hour preshow as UK wrestler Jamie Haytermake her long awaited return from injury to lay out Saraya – AKA Paige in WWE – along with her family and friends.

It’s been a special night for the Brits already, with Mariah May defeating Toni Storm to win the AEW Women’s World Title after a Hollywood-inspired saga heavily influenced by Sunset Blvd and All About Eve.

In the opening match of the main show, PAC and Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta captured the AEW World Trios Titles, while Hook beat former WWE star Chris Jericho in a grudge match.
