Fopp is returning to city with a new shop opening soon

Popular music and film retailer Fopp is set to return to Nottingham with a new shop in Bridlesmith Gate. The company previously had a shop in Broadmarsh but was forced to close in June 2020 after the demise of the shopping centre when owners intu went into administration.

The new store will open on June 7 with Blu Ray, CDs and vinyl with something for all tastes for all die-hard fans of music, film and TV. It is expected to create six new jobs.




It will be based in the former Joules shop, which most recently was sneaker store Exclusive on a short-term let. Fopp will conveniently be located next door to Nottingham Hi-Fi Centre.

Shoppers will be able to browse more than 4,000 vinyl albums, 8,000 different CDs, and 2,700 different Blu-ray and 4k titles, including the best independent films and world cinema, alongside the latest releases, re-issues and extensive range of collectors labels like Criterion, Indicator, and Radiance.

Literature lovers visiting the new store will be able to purchase more than 500 books in a 2 for £7 offer. There will also be a huge range of turntables and headphones on offer throughout the year.
