Football Manager 2025 will be released on November 26.
The latest edition of the game will be released towards the end of November on PC & Mac, Xbox and PlayStation 5, with the Nintendo Switch version, Football Manager Touch, arriving on December 3. Football Manager 2025 mobile will also launch as a Netflix exclusive on November 26.
Typically, a new FM game is released in early November, with the launch of FM25 coming slightly later in the month than usual. FM24, FM23 and FM22 were released on November 6, 2023, November 8, 2022 and November 8, 2021 respectively.
One of the biggest new features is the introduction of women’s football in the game and FM25 will feature a database of over 25,000 women’s players. All 20 Premier League teams will also be fully licenced in FM25 with official logos, kits and player photos, as Sports Interactive, which makes the game, has signed a multi-year partnership with the Premier League.
FM25’s user interface (UI) will also see changes, with Sports Interactive now using the Unity engine, which it says will be the ‘biggest technical and visual advancement for the series in a generation”. The Football Manager franchise has not seen such an overhaul since Championship Manager 4, which was released in March 2003.
Miles Jacobson, studio director at Sports Interactive said: “The FM25 cycle has been challenging for the entire SI team. FM25 is just the starting point for the studio’s next 20, 30 years. It’s also the point where the world gets to see two of our multi-year projects come to fruition: the switch to the Unity engine and the introduction of Women’s Football.”
All 20 Premier League teams will also be fully licenced in FM25 with official logos, kits and player photos.
