Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl unrecognisable as he joins wife at Wimbledon

Must read

Dave Grohl looked worlds away from his usual appearance as he attended Wimbledon on Tuesday (July 2). The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, attended the annual tournament with his wife, Jordyn Blum.

Ditching his casual attire, the musician smartened up to watch former champion Novak Djokovic take on Vit Kopriva on Centre Court. Dave opted for a dark suit teamed with a gold tie, a white shirt and Dolce & Gabbana loafers.

Tying his curly locks back into a ponytail, he finished off the look with a pair of designer sunglasses. Meanwhile Jordyn cut an elegant figure in a sky-blue blazer with a matching blouse and pleated skirt.

The former MTV producer kept her belongings in a cream bag and elevated her height with a pair of matching Gucci sandals. Jordyn, who shares three daughters with the rockstar, swept her platinum hair into a plait and shielded her eyes with a pair of tortoiseshell shades.

Dave is currently in the UK touring with Foo Fighters, with the US band heading to Poland to perform on Wednesday (July 3). His appearance at Wimbledon comes after he made a dig at Taylor Swift.

While they were onstage at the London Stadium, Dave appeared to suggest that the 34-year-old singer, who is travelling the world on her Eras Tour, doesn’t perform live.

“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour,’” Grohl said to the audience.

“We’ve had more than a few eras and more than a few f*****g errors as well,” he continued. “Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying! You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f*****g place.”

A defiant Taylor appeared to hit back at the musician during her next sold out show at London’s Wembley Stadium. The American songwriter made a point of saying her band would be playing live for the full three and a half hour setlist.

Taylor told her audience: “What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every single one of our crew. The band that’s going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.

“They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We’ll never forget it.”
