An inmate who was allegedly recorded having sex with a prison officer at HMP Wandsworth has been named and pictured.

Linton Weirich, from west London, was put behind bars in April for burglary after stealing £65,000 worth of items from a high-end flat in Kensington. He stole a range of luxury goods including jewellery, belts, handbags, a laptop and a suitcase back in March 2022.

The 36-year-old was allegedly filmed on a mobile phone as he reportedly engaged in sex with former prison guard Linda De Sousa Abreu, from Fulham, inside a cell. She was charged and appeared in court for misconduct in public office on Monday. On his public Instagram page, photos of the prisoner appeared to show him sporting the same arm tattoo as the man in the clip.

In the majority of the pictures on his page, he is seen flaunting his inkings, whilst wearing gold watches and jewellery. According to the Daily Mail, he has a partner who is seven months pregnant. A source who is said to be close to his girlfriend told the Daily Mail she has since been hospitalised with stress since seeing the video. The source told MailOnline: “This is the last thing she needs in her condition, it’s extremely upsetting. This stupid video has affected her health, she was hospitalised at the weekend through stress. She fears it will bring on premature labour.”

De Sousa Abreu, 30, who is also married, was handcuffed at Heathrow Airport on the weekend and was due to catch a flight to Madrid having notified the prison of her travel plans. Magistrate Julie Cooke bailed De Sousa Abreu but barred her from entering any UK travel ports and made her subject to a curfew, monitored by an electronic tag.

Her arrest came after police launched an investigation on Friday after the force was made aware that a four-minute video was filmed inside HMP Wandsworth. Another inmate is said to have filmed the X-rate clip which was later shared widely online. The inmate filming the video says: “This is how we live at Wandsworth. This is a movie innit, gangsters online.”

He puts his hand over the woman’s mouth and reassures his pal: “No one’s coming through by door, bro. Do your ting.” An arrest was made on Friday and De Sousa Abreu was charged with misconduct in public office on Saturday, police added. A Prison Service spokesman and said previously: “Staff corruption is not tolerated and the former prison officer allegedly featured in this video has been reported to the police.

“It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.” De Sousa Abreu is set to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on July 29 this year. She was spotted leaving court wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and brown leggings on Monday.
