A new store themed around magic and wizards has opened on Lord Street.
Ministry of Wizards celebrated its grand opening today, Friday, July 5, at 3pm. The store is a collection of quirky items from the world of magic, witches and wizards and acts as Liverpool’s first Harry Potter-themed store.
Staff have been working on designing the interiors since April 15 but hundreds have gathered every day lately to catch a glimpse of the magic before the opening.

The store has been transformed into a scene from Diagon Alley, with books piled high on the floor, replicas of the Hogwarts train, robes hanging on the walls and a range of antique trinkets dotted around.
All of the merchandise is official with hundreds of different items on sale. Stocks include wands, robes, masks, banners, jumpers, bags, stationary, collectors items and posters, to name a few.
Ministry of Wizards is a permanent store – not a pop-up – and is open between 9am – 9:30pm every night. On Friday and Saturday, the store extends its hours until 10pm.
