A new brand is already lined up to replace Tessuti in Liverpool ONE.
Tessuti, which is known for its selection of designer collections and streetwear, first opened on Peter’s Lane in 2013, before making the move and opening its largest store to date on Paradise Street in 2022.
Last week it was revealed the store would be closing, with a sale offering up to 70% off products. The news of the Liverpool ONE closure comes after Tessuti announced in 2023 that it was closing its stores in both Bolton and Bury.

Iain Finlayson, Liverpool ONE’s estate director, told the ECHO that site operator Grosvenor already has a replacement retailer lined up. Though the brand’s identity is currently undisclosed, it’s promised to be a “first for the city” and generate “a great deal of excitement.”
He said: “We’ve known about Tessuti’s forthcoming closure for up to a year. Shortly after opening, Tessuti was acquired by the Frasers Group, owner of Sports Direct.
“Since that acquisition, many of the Tessuti stores across the UK have closed or rebranded as Flannels. Clearly, Flannels already has a home in the city, therefore the decision was taken to close the Paradise Street store.
“In the knowledge that the unit was to become available, we’ve been working in the background to secure a new tenant, details of which will be revealed in the coming weeks.
“The brand will be a first for the city and something to create a great deal of excitement, I’m sure.”
