Firefighters called to fuel leak in supermarket car park

Firefighters were called following a diesel spill in a supermarket car park.

Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue were seen at Asda in Kimberley Way, Ashford at 5pm today.

Images sent to KentOnline show firefighters attending to fluid near the entrance to the store.

They can be seen using two trolleys to help absorb the leak with a dry compound – believed to be cat litter.

A shop worker confirmed diesel had leaked from a customer’s vehicle.

The supermarket, directly opposite Ashford Designer Outlet, is trading as normal.
