Fashion fans were left less than impressed by Fashion Nova’s new summer clothing collection, with some branding the item ‘ridiculous’ and ‘trashy’
Fashion lovers have slammed Fashion Nova on their new denim collection, with some shoppers branding their design “trashy”.
Fans of the clothing retailer have been left bewildered at their latest fashion offering, which featured in their recent summer campaign. While some people had initially been impressed by it – they were left speechless after noticing one “beyond ridiculous” detail from their ad.
The clip, aptly titled ‘Summer Vibes Are High + Calling You And Your Bestie’, featured two models rocking their stylish pair of oversized jeans – but fans were put off after spotting the clothing item was missing an important piece. The video showed the two women modelling the garments near a pool. One model styled the ‘On Trend 90s Baggy Jeans’ with a white baby tee, and a black bikini underneath – but as she turned to walk away from the camera, online users noticed the jeans had been cut from the back to expose her bikini.
Some people were left baffled as they swarmed to the comments section to claim the jeans “ridiculous”. One unamused person wrote: “Really? Wow beyond ridiculous, nothing against the beautiful girls.” Meanwhile, another person added: Why? That’s trashy.”
However, it seems others can’t wait to get their hands on the clothing piece. “I need those jeans.”I’m in love. You wear pants weird” a second person added. The other item included in the video was the ‘The Wayside Baggy Wide Leg Jean ‘.
It isn’t the first time Fashion Nova has sparked a social media uproar, as earlier this year, they drove fans into a frenzy following the release of the new summer bikini. The retailer was embroiled in controversy for selling the skimpy swimwear item, for customers to purchase online.
At the time, one unimpressed fan said: “Now y’all know damn well we can’t fit that,” one person commented. Another user added: “Ain’t no way this is real.” “Just swim bottomless at this point,” a third penned.
