Royal fans claim they’ve spotted Meghan Markle ‘side-eyeing’ husband Prince Harry in a new clip.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down for a rare joint interview – the first of its kind in three years – where they launched The Parent Network, a resource for parents who have lost children directly or indirectly as a result of social media use. The emotional chat with Jane Pauley of CBS Sunday Morning saw the pair open up about their own experiences with loss and mental health battles.

But eagle-eyed viewers spotted what they claim may have been a tense moment between the pair. It came after Pauley said to the pair: “Well, you hope that when your children ask for help, someone, you know, is there to give it.”

In response, Harry replied: “If you know how to help,” to which Meghan hummed in agreement. However, one royal fan spotted some rather unusual body language between the couple.

“Catch that quick side eye Meghan Markle gives Prince Harry when he interrupts,” one user, taking to X (formerly Twitter) said. “Holy S*** … that’s frightening.”

Meanwhile another agreed: “Wonder what she’s worried about. She looks extremely tense.”

Another claimed they noticed a second awkward moment later in the clip. It comes when Pauley said: “This is a modest beginning, you know, it’s not an army of parents yet,” before asking what their “ambitions” are for the network. Meghan can be seen smiling at the word “modest,” before responding: “I think you have to start somewhere.”

Meghan Markle did not like Jane Pauley’s comment about their parent’s group launch being a modest beginning,” they commented.

Speaking to the Express, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared how he thought the launch of this project would impact Meghan and Harry’s image. “Their body language seemed serious which was appropriate for the topic under discussion,” he said.

“This was aimed at an American audience and will have gone down well. […] Her programme about entertaining and cookery for Netflix is reportedly ready and her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard is gradually being launched. This CBS interview will be seen as a positive and a boost for Archewell, their charitable foundation.

“Newsweek has reported better polling figures for Meghan earlier in the year and their forthcoming trip to Colombia, linked to the campaign against online bullying, is certain to be handled so it gets the maximum publicity.”
