Fans make hilarious predictions about Oasis after Jane’s Addiction onstage fight during reunion show goes viral

Jane’s Addiction fans are finding humor in singer Perry Ferrell and guitarist Dave Navarro’s on-stage outburst during Friday’s show in Boston.

Video of the shoving match went viral online, showing the lead singer approach Navarro, shove him, get in his face and even throw a punch before a member of the crew could intervene.

Navarro had to be escorted from the stage by several crew members as the lights went dark. 

Fans compared the fracas to the antics of another band known for not getting along so well.

‘Glad to see the Oasis, sorry, Jane’s Addiction reunion is going well,’ joked a commenter. 

On Instagram, fans made their case for calling off the rest of the reunion tour.

‘Please cancel the rest of the tour, Jane’s legacy doesn’t deserve to be remembered in this way. Especially given what it took for Dave to come back and return to his awesome self. Perry we love you, seek some help and find your personal REDEMPTION,’ suggested one fan. 

‘ANGRY OLD FARTS FIGHTING ONSTAGE IS PATHETIC!!!!!!’ exclaimed another.

Others complained about Perry’s performance at previous concerts.

‘Saw the Raleigh show last night… Perry F was so inebriated that the show was easily the worst concert I’ve ever been to,’ a disappointed fan wrote after attending the September 3 gig adding, ‘Can’t believe I paid $167 for that “performance.”‘

Farrell’s wife Etty Lau took to Instagram to share her husband’s side of the story.

She admitted there had been ‘tension and animosity between the bandmembers’, but felt that this was not always a bad thing as it was also ‘the magic that made the band so dynamic.’

Lau claimed her frontman husband was upset after being ‘drowned out’ by his bandmates playing too loudly at the Boston show, which she said continued for several songs before he ‘lost it.’ 

‘Rather than speculating, I thought to post a first person account of what happened on stage,’ she wrote after footage of the fight went viral.

But on Friday night, Lau said her husband reached breaking point after he was heckled by fans who couldn’t hear him.

‘He wasn’t singing, he was screaming just be to be heard,’ she claimed. 

The group is scheduled to play in Hartford, CT Sunday night.

The show in Boston was part of a reunion tour after the group got back together for the first time in 14 years earlier this year.
