A SCOTS family were left horrified after discovering 200,000 bees in their ceiling.
The alarm was raised after the homeowners’ grandchildren reported hearing a buzzing noise as they slept in Inverness.

Beekeeper Andrew Card was summoned to relocate the swarm of honey-making insects.
The Loch Ness Honey Company expert said: “We have a nice wee bee colony up in Inverness.
“A good colony this time of year should have about 50,000 bees in it.
“These were slightly larger than that. Between the three of them, we were looking at 180,000 bees.
He added: “All in your bedroom ceiling. Maybe not the best thing for everybody.
“The householder was doing maintenance on it.
“Every time his grandchildren would visit, they would mention listening to the bees at night.”
Horror pictures show a massive swarm of creatures taking over a space in the spare bedroom.

Andrew explained how he used a specialist ‘bee vac’ to safely remove the buzzing creatures.
The colonies will now be monitored for parasites and then used for honey production next year.
The bee discovery left tongues wagging online with dozens commenting on the post.
One said: “Bravo! That’s a big colony”
Another added: “Absolutely wild.”
A third wrote: “Wow, so many.”
