There has been a fall in support for Sinn Féin, the latest Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks opinion poll suggests.
This survey of voters indicates a four point drop in support for Sinn Féin, leaving the party on 18% in the first poll since the recent local and European elections.
Fine Gael is up two points to 24%, followed by Fianna Fáil on 20% – which is a three point rise since the last comparable poll in June.
Independents and others are also on 20% but there is a three point drop in support for this group.
The Social Democrats, the Green Party and Aontú are all on 4% support, while Labour is unchanged at 3%.
PBP-Solidarity is up one percentage point to also stand on 3%.
This poll was carried out on Thursday and Friday and the margin of error is 2.6%.
