Must read

A batch of exploding beer cans have been recalled due to concerns over “risk of injury”.

Brew York issued the recall of their Juice Forsyth 440ml product on a “precautionary basis” via the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on Tuesday.

The warning came following reports cans have exploded as a result of over carbonation.

The brewery said that the products with the batch code Gyle 1036, and best before date July 23, 2024, should not be opened.

Customers who purchased the products have been urged to contact the brewery directly for a full refund.

The FSA recall notice said: “If you have bought the above product, do not drink it as the can may explode.

“Please contact Brew York via store@brewyork.co.uk for a refund and replacement.

“Please avoid unnecessary handling of the product and do not return it to the store, instead, safely dispose of the product.

“For more information, please contact Brew York on 01904 848448.”
