Jeremy Clarkson has sought to reassure A-level students with an annual tweet about how his life worked out despite getting poor grades.
The presenter used his 2024 message to promote his pub opening at the Windmill in Asthall, Oxfordshire, on the back of his Amazon TV series Clarkson’s Farm.
Clarkson achieved only C and U grades in his A-level results (spawning some obvious jokes online about missing letters) and has tweeted about his subsequent success on result’s day for the past 10 years.
“Don’t worry if your A level results aren’t what you were hoping for,” he wrote on Thursday.
“I got a C and two Us, and here I am, 46 years later, with my own pub.
“It opens next weekend if you fancy dropping in.”
The former Top Gear host has become synonymous with A-level results day, having been tweeting every year since 2014.
Here is how he has bragged since then.
Jeremy Clarkson A-level results day tweets since 2014.
Starting modestly, he boasts about his Merc.
Surely, anyone who failed their A-levels would feel better at the thought of Clarkson relaxing in St Tropez.
Anyone want to visualise Clarkson on a super yacht?
Depending on whether he has gone for the £6 per gram option or the Tesco variety, this might be Clarkson’s biggest brag yet – also mentioning his chef.
His school grades clearly show his inability to make a decision.
To make the rest of us feel a little better, he is merely renting it.
Maybe not content with his French mansion, Clarkson began setting up his Cotswold empire during the pandemic.
It should perhaps be noted that you don’t always need a Bentley (or any amount of wealth) to make friends.
Unclear if this is the same yacht as previously mentioned but it does look lavish enough.
Continuing the Cotswold legacy, Clarkson mentions his own brewery here.
